Knit Love

I came across lovely/cute knit objects today. Makes me want to start knitting again. It seems like I always knit in the fall/winter; mainly in the winter though because I really enjoy getting crafty during the Christmas season. ;D

Knitting makes me happy. I love picking out a pattern and then choosing yarn with the perfect shade of colors. I love knitting, as I sit comfortably on a couch or bed, on a cold rainy day. I love listening to the sound of the needles as they move back and forth against each other. I love the feeling of the yarn between my fingers. But the very best part, is finishing the pattern and the accomplished feeling that comes as I look at my finished product. 

I'm excited to see what I'll be making in the upcoming months. :D

Thank God for Farmer's Markets

The Lord is ever kind and full of blessings. This past weekend, my Mom, sister, and I went to a nearby Farmer's Market and got a bunch of fruit for a very reasonable price. It was such a blessing.

I'm thinking of starting a new series, "Thankful Mondays". It's hard to be thankful on Mondays sometimes because it's the start of a new week, school begins after the weekend, work starts up again, and things may seem dreary. Well, it helps to count our blessings and strive to cultivate a thankful attitude, God tells us too. If we are his children, then we truly have a reason to be thankful and find joy every day. So, on my free Monday's I'll be starting this new series.

Fall is Finally Here!

According to the calendar, today marks the beginning of Fall :)

I love every season, but Fall is my absolute favorite. :)

With Fall, comes:

crisp cool mornings,

rain and the sweet smell that comes with it,

Walkways sprinkled with red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves,

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

There once was a  lovely carpet, that was soft and clean. Well...at least until a family of 9 moved in that was soon to be a family of 10. Year in and year out they lived and played and walked on this carpet.  As you can imagine, the dirt added up fast. One day, a few years later the Mother of the house decide that the carpet had had enough and she knew it was in dire need of a proper cleaning. :D She grabbed her vacuum and shampooing device and set to the task with her son Aiden.  Even hours later when Aiden went to karate, she kept shampooing over and over in the dirtiest spots. In-between shampooing, she decided to scrub the carpet with her hands............And that's when it happened. I had been out in the garage . I came back in the house and even before I could see Mom I heard her  theatrically singing "A dreeeaam is a wiiiiish your heeart maaakes! Whhheeen you're faast asleep." I walked into the tv room to see Mom on her hands and knees scrubbing the carpet as she sang. Lainie was in the kitchen laughing and as soon as I walked into the room we all had a good laugh together.

Thank you Mom for all your hard work! The carpet really does look better. Though we all know it's now time to shampoo more of it. Love you!
